About

The Practice:

B2A is an independent architectural practice founded in 2017 by partners Tjerk Boom and Louise Bjørk. B2A engages in a diverse body of work aiming to create contemporary spaces that are embedded within a cultural context. Active in the fields of architectural, urban and furniture design, B2A is committed to closely collaborating with partners in the design process in order to create projects that are architecturally, socially and intellectually coherent.

Tjerk Boom graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Delft University of Technology. Previously, he studied at the ETH Zürich and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. From 2011 to 2017 he was Project Architect at SeARCH Architects for an extensive range of design commissions including a private villa, as well as other cultural, educational, infrastructural and residential projects. 

Louise Bjørk completed her degree in architecture at the Aarhus School of Architecture, Denmark with studies abroad in the Faculty of Architecture at Delft University of Technology. Since 2011, she has worked for renowned architectural practices in and outside the Netherlands. These include: Wiel Arets Architects in Amsterdam, Mecanoo Architects in Delft, and Schmidt, Hammer & Lassen - SHL in Aarhus, Denmark.
